In Sacra: Falling of Myrd, leveling up your hero is a crucial aspect of your journey. Here's how it works.
Your hero's level is a key attribute that can be obtained by accumulating Experience Points (EXP). You can gain EXP through victories in battles with enemies. When you accumulate enough EXP, you have the option to level up by paying a certain number of tokens. Alternatively, you can continue accumulating EXP without leveling up. However, your hero will continue to face enemies based on their virtual level.
Leveling up is essential for several reasons:
Enhanced Stats: As your hero levels up, they gain the ability to improve their primary attributes, such as Strength, Dexterity, Vitality, and Energy. These upgrades directly impact your hero's damage and defense capabilities, making them more formidable in battles.
Better Equipment: Leveling up opens the door to equip more powerful items. Equipping better gear not only enhances your hero's stats but also increases their chances of success in the game, including their ability to defeat formidable foes.
Access to New Biomes: Sacra: Falling of Myrd features various biomes, each designed for heroes of specific levels. By leveling up, you can venture into new and more complex biomes, where you'll face tougher challenges and earn greater rewards.
Treasury Eligibility: Achieving higher hero levels brings you closer to the possibility of gaining additional rewards from the Treasury.
If your hero has earned enough EXP to level up, you will be notified via an icon in the menu or next to your hero.
The level of your hero or the monsters you encounter in battles plays a critical role in determining the battle's outcome. Higher-level heroes have an advantage in accuracy during attacks, making it more challenging for lower-level monsters to hit them.
Different in-game locations, known as biomes, are tailored to specific hero level ranges. For example, the first biome is suitable for heroes ranging from level 1 to 5, while the second biome caters to heroes of levels 5 to 10, and so on. The reward structure is inversely proportional to the hero's level within their respective biome. This means that a lower-level hero in a biome receives more rewards for completing adventures than a higher-level hero in the same area, both for virtual and real levels.
To maximize rewards, you can choose to explore biomes where your hero's level is better matched to the challenges. Your hero's level also influences the rewards you earn for successfully navigating adventures. Depending on your hero's level, the rewards for completing an adventure may vary. Achieving higher levels provides access to more lucrative rewards. As you progress through the game, the potential rewards become more enticing, offering an additional layer of motivation for players to level up their heroes and undertake more challenging adventures.
A noteworthy aspect of higher hero levels is the unlocking of the Treasury. The Treasury accumulates rewards from various in-game actions, making it a valuable asset for players at advanced stages of the game. The Treasury becomes available to heroes who have attained a level equal to or exceeding the last biome's level requirement.
For instance, if the game initially features four biomes, you'll become eligible for the Treasury when your hero reaches the 15th level. However, if the development team introduces additional 2 biomes in a future game season, you'll need to reach the 25th level to regain eligibility for the Treasury.
